Shopping at the farm
The fertile Flevoland polder land always produces the very best, and a considerable selection of regional produce is available right from the source: the farm. It cannot be any fresher than this! Fresh vegetables and fruit, potatoes, cheese, eggs…it is so much better from the farm. Farm shop Renne Streekproducten (local products) is on the road from Nagele to Urk, in the middle of the polder landscape. Anything sold here is produced either on their own farm, or on a farm in the neighbourhood. Hans & Griet ice cream is pure delight and is produced at the Hans & Griet farm in Zeewolde, where cow’s milk is immediately processed into ice cream. There are many, many more farm shops in Flevoland. That good wine need not have to come from France is proven at the Wijngaard El Placer vineyard in Lelystad. Some of these genuine Flevoland wines have been awarded a quality seal or medal.
